About us

The history of our orchestra is a clear demonstration of how folk music builds community and connects people.

Starting from the four corners of the country, Budapest was the meeting point.

Zsolt Pálfi – contrabass, cello, drum, gardon

Géza Kovács – viola, kontra, kobza, tambura

Zoltán Nagy – dulcimer, bagpipes, flute, kontra, tambura

József Boldizsár – violin, kontra, tambura

Our aim is to present Hungarian folk music as it was once played in the given region and village. (Instrumentation and Style)
